With rain pouring down here on the East Coast and temperatures plunging, there is no doubt the fall season is underway. However, though the weather is getting worse and the days are getting shorter, we will have much more content to post for all of you. Today, I’m bringing you a remix of Cazzette’s “Sleepless” (this remix was originally found by Will).
While I honestly am unfamiliar with Prince Fox’s and Jenaux’s previous work, their remix of “Sleepless” definitely has a refreshing sound. Unlike the standard “electro house drop” we’ve all become accustomed to (and sometimes tired of), Prince Fox and Jenaux’s remix uses more relaxed bass drops and synths. Give it a listen, and support them below.
Harley Streten, better known by his stage name Flume, has taken the music industry by storm over the past couple of years. Ever since the 22 year old Australian native released his debut album back in November of 2012, Flume has continued to churn out hit after hit– including original songs such as “Holdin On”, “Sleepless”, and remixes of Lorde’s “Tennis Court”, Disclosure’s “You & Me” and Hermitude’s “Hyperparadise”. However, perhaps what makes Flume so popular is his unique style of music that is instantly recognizable– and while his style is difficult to explain (it is a sort of trap, “futurebeat”, experimental, trip hop blend), once you listen to one of Flume’s songs, you’ll understand.
Check out Flume’s new song “That Look”, which was leaked on Vimeo yesterday! Enjoy.
EDIT: VIDEO IS DOWN. WE WILL GET A NEW ONE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
EDIT: NEW LINK IS UP!
No Download Available (by virtue of being a leaked song)
Today, Tritonal’s new remix of Cash Cash’s hit single, “Surrender” will become available for download. Tritonal, the American duo comprised of Chad Cisneros and Dave Reed have recently cemented themselves as one of the most electrifying acts on the international EDM scene. After the duo released their debut album, “Piercing the Quiet”, back 2011 (which produced eight Top 20 Beatport singles), Tritonal have never looked back.
Check out their big-room remix of Cash Cash’s Surrender below! The remix will be available later today for purchase. Enjoy!
GALANTIS, the Swedish duo comprised of friends Christian Karlsson, aka “Bloodshy”, and Linus Eklöw, aka “Style of Eye” have taken the EDM scene by storm. After earning the honor of debuting in a primetime slot at California’s extremely popular Coachella Music Festival, GALANTIS have quickly gained popularity.
Considering GALANTIS’ current success, it’s astonishing to think that the duo released its first song, “Smile”, only one year ago– However, ever since their inception, GALANTIS have always impressed those in the EDM scene. “Smile” caught the attention of and received praise from Diplo, Laidback Lluke and Pete Tong, who named it an Essential New Tune. GALANTAS’ follow up single, “You”, also received support from veterans such as Tiesto, Kaskade, Steve Angello and Porter Robinson.
GALANTIS are currently putting the finishing touches on their debut, full-length album, coming 2015– be sure to check out their new song, “Runaway”, below!
Two days ago, Justin Blau aka “3LAU” released the 4th installment of his highly regarded “Dance Floor Filth” series. Though 3LAU released his first original song “How You Love Me” a couple of months ago, at his roots, 3LAU is a mashup artist. Justin has been producing mashups since the inception of AeroBeats back in early 2012, and has always been a favorite of mine. If you’re a mashup fan, I highly recommend listening to 3LAU’s songs below.
However, that is not the only reason why I love 3LAU. Like last year, 3LAU is offering “Dance Floor Filth” for free- However, instead of having to purchase his album, Justin is asking for you to instead donate to the organization “Pencils of Promise”. Pencils of Promise is an organization that strives to build schools and educate children around who may not currently have access to schooling. Through his efforts last year, Justin was able to build his first school with PoP, and he hopes to complete his 2nd school through this fundraiser.
